Harry Westera is back in the gallery and this time we’re showcasing Harry’s return to his artistic roots. Harry is well known here at Cowper Art Gallery and Studio for his exhibitions of watercolours of our local area in the gallery, as well as his teaching of both watercolour and oil painting in our Studio. This new exhibition showcases Harry returning to his artistic roots reflecting the traditions in which he first learnt to paint – still life in oil paint. This exhibition reflects Harry’s belief that ordinary objects have an enduring vitality when carefully observed.
